Memorial Day

Yikes, it's been nearly a month since my last post! All I can say is that we've been really busy with moving into my parent's house, cleaning out the old house, and some other news that I'll share later on.

But before we get too far away from Memorial Day weekend, here are some pictures from last weekend.
We started out Saturday morning with a little excitement in our quiet hamlet of Cheshire. Firetrucks! Ok, so there wasn't really an emergency, just trucks lining up for the Memorial Day commemoration in front of the Company Store. Lucky for Jacob, that's right across the street from us. There's nothing he loves more than fire trucks! Well, not really, except for...

Balloons!! And lucky little kid that he is, someone was giving out balloons at the ceremony.
Sunday we had a picnic at Jay and Kathy's. The pool was open, but COLD. Jacob was content to play with Creepy Crawly.
Cousins Jenna and Taylor went in though. Briefly. The water was a balmy 68 degrees.
Monday was the holiday, and we went to the parade with Joel and Sarah. Jacob enjoyed the parades we went to last year, but that was nothing compared to how much fun he had at this age. He loved the motorcycles, clapped for the veterans when the crowd did, and was absolutely enthralled with the marching band.
Summer is shaping up to be a busy one this year, hopefully I'll post more often from now on out!
