We started our weekend Saturday with a party at the neighbor's (and some delicious Blue Whales). Sunday we hosted our own family get together. It was a HOT day, and the kids played in the slip n' slide while the burgers and hots were on the grill.
On Memorial Day we walked in the parade and tossed candy to the kids in the crowd. J decided he would rather "catch" the candy and sit on Jean's lap, so Mark, K & I walked the parade route with Red Cross volunteers and the fabulous Belles family.
K enjoyed her ride in the wagon, but probably enjoyed the tootsie rolls she stole out of the candy baskets even more.
Next weekend is another parade, this time we'll all sit along the route and catch candy. We are LOVING that summer is finally here!
