I bought the felt, cut out the pieces, and then had J help me put it all together. Only I wasn't letting him help enough, apparently, and he went off to entertain himself.
It was 20 minutes later before he returned and said "Look, mommy, I made RUGS!"
Yes, you did.
Sigh.Let's pick up the mess and you can help me glue some turkey beaks on, ok?
J helped me to place the feet, feathers, and eyes on all the birds. I hadn't cut out the beaks yet, but he helped with that too. While I was cutting the pieces out I looked up and realized that he had dug through the felt box and found little pieces of yellow material to put on each bird's face.I have a creative kid, and he's a sweetheart for helping out his mommy.
