Merry Christmas! Most likely if you're here, you've received our Christmas card. Either that or you're a frequent visitor to the blog. If that's the case... your Christmas card is in the mail!
Our year started out like most Upstate NY winters- cold and snowy!

Both kids are January birthdays, so we celebrated J & K's birthdays back to back weekends.

K turned one, J three. The time goes by so quickly!

In February we met the cousins at the Strong National Museum of Play. We went through Sesame Street, the mini-Wegmans, and a Victorian house.

February was also Valentine's Day.

We stayed home for Valentine's Day and had a romantic dinner in. Once Mark had shoveled off the grill so we could use it!

Aunt Cindy and Uncle Al visited from Texas and made us dinner. Homemade biscuits and chicken.

March was still cold- but we went into Rochester for the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

In April we drove 14 hours to Avon, N.C. in the Outer Banks.

We rented a house with three other families near the ocean.

We finished off the month with an Easter Egg hunt and Easter dinner with the family.

The weather warmed up in May and we had a picnic with the family.

For Mother's Day we went with Grandma to Sonnenberg Gardens.

For the Memorial Day Parade daddy and K marched with mommy and threw candy to the kids.

There were more picnics and swimming parties in June, and we took advantage of the warm weather.

We even went to the Rochester Air Show.

J & K loved swimming in Grandpa Jay's pool.

We went camping over 4th of July weekend. The kids didn't sleep (which meant mommy & daddy didn't either!) but they had a blast.

Letchworth State Park was beautiful.

In August we went to Seabreeze Amusement Park with Grandma Dobbs. The kids loved the rides.

The adults had a party at the Dirt Track.

... and took advantage of the Riesling Fest in Canandaigua.

We took a field trip to Lollypop farm to see the animals.

In September we picked apples and made homemade apple sauce.

Mark & Taryn celebrated their 5th anniversary in Baltimore. And witnessed Mark's beloved Boston Red Sox have a total end-of-season meltdown.

We went to Captain Red Beard's Pirate Festival in Honeoye.

J started preschool in September, and in October we went on our first field trip to the Grape Farm.

We also took a family trip to Powers Farm Market to pick pumpkins, see the animals, and pick out doughnuts.

We had a visit from another Baby K, aka "Meatball."

And hosted a neighborhood Halloween Party for 57 people.

And of course we went trick-or-treating on Halloween night.

In November we hosted Thanksgiving dinner. Mark cooked the entire meal. Then we welcomed Santa into his temporary home on Main Street.

Our holidays went quickly- but we got to spend plenty of time with family and friends.

Thanks for checking out our year. Hope 2012 is a good one for you and yours!
