Memorial Day

With temps already in the 80's this morning it's hard to remember that we were in jeans and sweatshirts over Memorial Day weekend!

We started our long weekend by visiting friends at their campsite at Tagauhnic Falls (yes, I know I butchered that name!) near Ithaca.  I was disappointed that the trail we went to was only an overlook, but we'll definitely be back this summer to explore the trail leading up to the falls.

Back at the campsite we played corn hole and the kids played in the stones & dirt.
Monday morning we were up early to shop for the BBQ and get ready for the parade.  K&J watched the parade in it's entirety before we joined the line-up.  The Red Cross is always at the end of the parade!

The kids only lasted a few blocks throwing candy and rode the rest of the way with Uncle Roger in the van.
I love the Canandaigua parade- it's by far the best attended one of the year and everyone I've ever known in my life in this small town was there- either marching along or standing on the side of the road watching.
Then it was home to fire up the grill.
Before we knew it we were back to work.  But what a glorious week it's been so far!  Welcome Summer!
