Karey's Baptism

Karey's baptism was held on Pentacost Sunday, and we were blessed to have so many family and friends attend! "Auntie Tewks" came in from Albany to be Karey's Godmother. And who was the Godfather? Why are there no pictures of him here? Well... because he was a no-show. At least he wasn't there for the service. Due to unforseen circumstances, Uncle Kyle didn't make it to the church on time. Thus, he has secured his position as the family's black sheep.

I hope no one reads that as me being angry at him. Because all kidding aside, Kyle is... Kyle. And besides, Tewks stepped up and told me "Don't worry, I got this!"

... Which actually makes me more nervous. I'm not sure Tewks understands what the job of the Godmother is. It certainly isn't to tell her Goddaughter about all the crazy things her mommy did in college. Or to show her pictures...

Oh look! There's Uncle Kyle! Arriving just in time for the family pictures.

And pictures with the cousins and the rest of the Windheim crew.

After the service we had a luncheon at our house. The weather was beautiful! What a great day to be outside! And, uh, sorry to all of you who were there and would have much rather been golfing or gardening or doing other things out in the bright sunshine.

Mark says that Tim is the one person who manages to make Karey look small. But isn't he adorable holding the baby???

Tim's wife Denise had her turn too. And found that Karey was very entertained by the mimosa. It's just the orange color, I'm sure :)
Thank you again for all of you who were able to join us. It meant a lot to us to have you there.
