We took our first vacation as a family this past weekend, renting a cabin on Upper Saranac Lake with friends Melissa T, Michael, and Melissa F.
The cabin was pretty remote, but included a row boat, dock, and some seriously needed relaxation.
The weather was a bit cool- 45 degrees one morning when we woke up! That didn't stop the boys from enjoying some time out on the lake fishing though. 
While most of the weekend was spent relaxing in the cabin and making (lots!) of food, we also took the opportunity to see some of the surrounding area. We went on a hike, took a few quick trips into town, and went to "the Wild Center," a natural museum.
