While I work...

There is nothing better than knowing your kids are happy when you can't be with them.  Even better, it's amazing when technology allows us to feel like we are sharing part of their day.

When I'm sitting at my desk at work on a beautiful, sunny day, I know that the kids are probably outside playing.  But when I am sent pictures from Jean, I can see how much fun they are having.

I would think it would be easy to sit inside on the couch and let them play and occupy themselves all day long.  My brother and I certainly had a sitter or two like that (which is how I knew all of the characters on "General Hospital", "One Life to Live", and "The Young and the Restless" by the time I was in Kindergarten).

There is definitely no tv time with Jean, and not much sitting down either!  In the past week I've received pictures of the kids on various outings.  They've been to the lake for a picnic.  They've been to the park.  And they've been to feed the fish at Powder Mill.

Sure, it would be nice to be a stay-at-home mom.  Especially in the summer months.  But with an amazing sitter to watch over the kids and take them exploring, it makes being a working mom a whole lot easier.
