Our Christmas Tree

Every year we are always so excited for the day we get to go chop down our Christmas tree.

Every year I'm reminded that it is rarely as good of a time as expected.  It's always cold.  It's always a long walk.  And the tree itself is always way overpriced.  This year's pricetag?  $55.

This year was even more painful becuase J, although walking again and much, much better, still didn't want to walk.  See how happy he is?

Every year makes me want to go out and buy an artificial tree and be done with it all.

But then I see the pictures and try to convince myself that it's all worth it in the end.  Maybe.
