Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

My new job is amazing. Although it's a lot of work, I have the flexibility to take time when I need it. And that means I can take field trips with J and his preschool.

Only sometimes I kind of wish I stayed at work. Which I really don't want to say, but sometimes... sometimes I have a grumpy child!

Our morning started out cold and rainy, which doesn't help.

J was just grumpy. And clingy. He didn't want to stand with his classmates and enjoy the pumpkin patch, he wanted to hang onto my leg.I thought the train ride would help. J's wonderful teacher paid for all the kids to take a ride. J loves trains. But that didn't do the trick.
Neither did the corn-stalk maze.
But it was the picking pumpkins out of the field that really set him over the edge. And stepping on mommy's work shoes with his mud-caked shoes set me past my limit of fun for the day.
We love preschool. And pumpkins. This fieldtrip just wasn't our day.
