Every fall we drive past numerous roadside stands selling pumpkins in the country to drive towards Rochester. As silly as it seems to leave the country in favor of Pittsford, Powers Farm Market has become a yearly tradition. We've since learned to skip buying the pumpkins here (they are Pittsford-priced!), but the little market with a petting zoo, jack-o-lantern tee pee and the best sourdough cookies this side of 490 make it worth the trip.
We skipped the "haunted" wagon ride this year. Little Miss Fearless isn't afraid of the ghosts and goblins, but J doesn't like anything even mildly scary. We did go through the tee pee with the dozens of carved jack-o-lanterns though.
Poor J has a nasty cold (already his second of the fall! Already!) and wasn't really into it this year. We had to bribe him with apple cider to take a few pictures amongst the pumpkins.
K loved it all. Especially the animals. The goats were especially friendly this year.
In the end we went home without a single pumpkin. We have enough of those on our porch already! We did end up with a bag full of cookies and doughnuts though. Yum!
